Q. Explain about Long acting insulin?
Long acting: Long acting insulin does not work until 4 Lo 8 hours after injecting. Its peak activity occurs 18 to 24 hours after injection and it continues to work to some extent after 36 hours. This is used less commonly because it is easier to work with 4 hours or 24 hours rather than 36 hours. Sometimes the doctor uses a combination of short and intermediate insulin.
