Q. Design Ventilation Systems for plant?
While some natural ventilation may sometimes be used, a pressurized HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) system is more typically provided to ensure adequate ventilation for plant buildings. The importance of HVAC is as follows:
• As a means of hazard mitigation.
• Providing an environment suitable for electronic equipment to operate.
• Providing a workable environment for human habitation.
Gas detection sensors shall be provided at the intake of the blowers for all pressurization systems.
