Q. Burner Management - Discrete Controls for steam generators?
The burner management system shall control the generator operation during pre-purge, light off, normal operation, post purge and shutdown, for normal and emergency conditions.
The system shall automatically control all sequences and shall monitor all safety limit devices to provide a safe shutdown.
The burner management logic will be programmed into a stand-alone BMS or PLC by the Vendor. It will be rack mounted inside the local panel.
Note that 480 V or 600 V motor circuit protectors (depending on the project), contactors, control transformers, thermistor relays, and time delay may be provided by WorleyParsons in the Central Plant Motor Control Centre for the combustion air fan.
