Public Policy and Political Science During freshmen move-in day at the University of Michigan, the College Republicans staffed an information table in order to solicit new members. A sample of consecutive new members was obtained, and each was classified by sex (M or F). The ordered observations are given in the following table.

Use the runs test with a ≈ 0.05 to determine whether there is any evidence to suggest that the order of observations is not random with respect to sex.
