• Consider the following: Human capital is invested in people while social capital is invested in relationships among people, which in turn, makes money for the government. When public leaders fail to invest in social capital, the U.S. loses money and therefore legitimacy. As a public leader, explain how you do or can balance the two without jeopardizing the culture and values of the people who elected you into office.
• Public leaders are often faced with controversial global matters such as religion, genocide, or stoning to death. Take a position and defend it on whether the role of the public leader contradicts personal and professional aspects of leadership.
