Problem
Two faithful married twenty-two-year-old women who are identical ("monozygotic") twins drink alcohol during pregnancy. They do not do any other drugs and they live very similar lives (their husbands are even similar - it's amazing!). One has a child with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) and the other has a child that shows no ill effects as a consequence of her mother's alcohol use. Provide 3 different reasons to explain this. Number your reasons to facilitate our communications. Note that if you do not get full credit with your 1st submission, you may resubmit if the due date has not passed. Be sure to review your graded work promptly. Do not resubmit your answer until you have reviewed the feedback from your prior submission.
Note - the women drank - no other environmental factors are involved. In other words, they eat the same things, get the same prenatal care, and have the same level of stress in their lives. And both of the babies are girls.
