Assessment Task - Written Assignment
Length and/or format: 1000 words
Purpose: The primary purpose of this task is to provide students an opportunity to demonstrate further development of nursing health assessment and interview skills. Additionally, students will demonstrate beginning skills in critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and clinical judgement.
Instructions: You will be required to conduct a short interview with an older person (at least 50 years of age) on the topic of promoting healthy ageing.
Following the interview you are required to construct a written essay using the structured framework provided. The Levett - Jones (2017) Clinical Reasoning Cycle (Steps 1-3 & 8) will be used to frame the structure of this written work. It is expected that appropriate evidence-based literature will be used to support the essay.
