Imagine that you are writing a formal speech. For instance, re-imagine the speech as an address to the nation rather than a campaign rally speech.
In short, rewrite these off-the-cuff remarks to make them sound like a prepared speech written for a formal occasion.
As you do so, you will need to change the tone and style of the piece. You will also need to choose what to leave out and what to keep to make it more appropriate for the more professional context.
Keep in mind that you should prefer concrete language over abstract language and that you should prefer active voice over passive voice.
