Summary:
Concept Notebook is based on a 71-year-old female. Diabetes mellitus is diagnosed in this patient. Due to her lack of compliance with hygiene, the patient has had multiple UTIs and yeast infections. She refuses to get out of bed as well as take showers or bed baths. The patient claims that she has difficulty sleeping at night. The patient has been constipated for the past 5 days. In addition, she consumes a lot of sugar. She was diagnosed with diabetes and high sugar intake, which contributed to her frequent yeast infections. Her healthcare provider advised her to reduce her sugar intake.
1. Performs a thorough review of the disease process pathophysiology and identifies risk factors.
2. Based on available patient data, the learner identifies at least four (4) critical cues that are significant and could impact the patient condition. The learner may consider both subjective and objective patient data.
