Problem: Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, my hospital started using the VBC program in the fall of 2021 to improve patient care quality, reduction of healthcare cost, put an emphasis on preventing diseases, and provide proactive treatment by giving doctors, nurses, and caregivers the tools and resources they need to do their intricate work. Despite the difficulties we had, my hospital has all of the necessary resources, personnel, and procedures in place. Any necessary new rules and procedures for enhancing VBC can be developed and put into effect, but first an impact analysis must be carried out to ascertain the effects of the change on people and resources.
