Now imagine you were working with preschool aged children. What interests and skills (music and movement) might you have observed from these children that would prompt you to share this story with them? Next describe how you would use this book to engage these children in a music and movement experience. What will you say and do? How do you think the children would respond? Be specific and describe the expressive elements that you learned about in the Module 3 lessons and readings-of tempo, dynamics, pitch and timbre that you and the children could explore as you engage with this story. Finally, discuss the way in which this story provides an opportunity for cross cultural engagement by using the lessons and readings from Module 5 to explain why this is important.
