Then relate your analysis to Schmidt's article, "Public policy and racial equality ..." Which of Schmidt's public policy models do you tend to think is the most plausible public policy analysis based on your analysis of the causes of race and inequality? Explain why.
2. Based on the initial chapters 1-3 in Political Economy, four political economy models have emerged: conservative, classical liberal, modern liberal, and radical. Explain each of these models including their perceived strengths and weaknesses.
Then identify one of these political economy models that you would argue is optimal for the basis of a public policy that can be implemented in order to promote both racial and social justice. Explain why.
3. Summarize the presentations, "American Revolution Waged for Slavery," and "Counter Revolution of 1776: Was US Independence War a Conservative Revolt in Favor of Slavery?" by Professor Gerald Horne.
Then relate the key concepts in Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire and Black Theology & Black Power by James Cone, to the fundamental notions presented in Professor Horne's presentations. What is your position? Explain why.
