Can you provide an example of a response to this discussion post: The clinical decision-making process can be difficult to define because the practice of using information to make a diagnosis is complex. It can feel tough to attach one certain model to the process when so much of decision making in my practice is automatic. I have been treating and diagnosing patients for over 11 years at this point, and I do believe that my process has changed over time. Clues in the patient history, family medical history or medication list will then drive the diagnosis. Once an initial hypothesis has been formed, the practitioner will continue searching for more evidence to confirm the diagnosis. If information is gathered that does not immediately support the initial hypothesis, before moving on to a new diagnosis, the contradicting data should first be disputed if possible.
