Problem
Inclusive classrooms foster the well-being of all students irrespective of their differences. It is important to make all students feel safe and comfortable in the class by including activities that promote multiculturalism. Apart from the differences in race and culture, there are individual differences with regard to learning levels and learning needs. As a teacher one has to make sure to cater to these needs.
For middle school science
• Brainstorm and explain one activity you would use in your classroom that embraces the concept of multiculturalism
• Take up a topic and create a plan for setting up learning stations in your classroom to facilitate differentiation. Explain in detail the activities planned for each learning station.
Provide a rationale for choosing these activities, and be sure to support them with citations from your reading resources.
