Wakanda Ltd needs to build new facilities costing $100,000,000 and the company will spend $30,000,000 buying a suitable piece of land to build the plant. The $100,000,000 facility will be depreciated on a straightline basis to zero salvage value over the ten-year life of the project. At the conclusion of the project the company expects to sell the facilities for an estimated value of $10,000,000. Land value is expected to remain stable over the life of the project. So, the company believes it will be able to sell the land at the purchase price.
