The education of our children should be considered a top priority if we desire for the future to be a better place. This starts with the level of education our children receive at an early stage of life. When children begin their education, they take the first steps towards developing the necessary tools required for making connections, developing their linguistic skills, and learning about the world we all live in. To ensure every child gets the opportunity to begin developing all of these tools, they need a space with the necessary staff and equipment to create life's building blocks. This proposal outlines the importance of the usage and need for preschool programs within the Louisiana Department of Education. Outlining all the vital issues that matter to the school district/geographic area (societal influence, parental involvement, factors that may influence the option to enroll in pre-K) and offering solutions to some of the negatives that may arise from the inclusion of preschool are the main areas of focus that will be part of this proposal. The outcome of this proposal is to convince stakeholders and other essential figures to create proper preschool programs for all children of East Baton Rouge Parish or any other preschool settings under consideration.
