Production of audio and video signals
Iconoscope is a type of camera consisting of a cathode ray beam and a photoelectric cell. The picture is scanned with the help of iconoscope. The degree of variations in the light intensity on different portions of the image is detected by photocells. These photocells convert the light signals into different electrical currents of corresponding intensity. These electrical signals are amplified and used for modulation. At the same time, sound waves are also converted into electrical signals, amplified and used for modulation.
