Process Documentation for the Implementation "La Cafe Android Application"Summary of Project
The purpose of this project is to create an android application for pre-ordering beverages and breakfast. This Android application will feature three types of beverages, namely coffees, teas and others drinks such as soft drinks, water and breakfast ( ) This app will help customers to pre order their beverages and pay for it before collecting them at the café counter.
Rationale
The rationale of doing this project is that it will enable the client to generate more revenues for his business. This project will also help to target more customers especially in the morning as this will be a convenient way of pre-ordering their beverages and picking them up at the café counter. This project will also capture the customers that would come past and need a coffee either first thing in the morning or mid-morning.
Specifications Details
La Cafe's android application will include some of the following specifications:-
- A sign up page where new customer can register to the service by registering their names, mobile number, email address and a password to access the service.
- Customers who are already a member will enter their information through the login page with enter their email address and password.
- The main menu will include three choices of beverages including coffee, tea and other drinks (soft drinks and water). Sandwiches ( Add menu )
- The coffee section will include a list coffee such as café latte, long black, macchiato etc.
- The tea section will include a list of tea such as Darjeeling, Earl Grey, English breakfast etc.
- Both coffee and tea page will be linked to more options which will include dairy, size and quantity of the order.
- The ‘other drinks' section will include a list of soft drinks and water.
- Whenever an order is placed, a summary of the order details will be displayed on the phone screen. Payment can be made online
- And finally upon the confirmation of each order, a short message service will be sent to the customer.
