Problem: Client is a 19-year-old who is being admitted to the inpatient mental health unit after being assessed and treated in the emergency department. Client had multiple self-inflicted lacerations on bilateral forearms and bilateral thighs. Most lacerations were superficial, however, there were two on left forearm requiring sutures. Client reports that they had a verbal altercation with their partner which is when the self-injuries occurred. Client reports that their family does not want to be involved, and their partner is their only support. Client admits to a history of sexual abuse as a child and has battled with suicidal ideation for the last several years. Client does admit to a history of sexual promiscuity and had multiple sexual partners prior to beginning the relationship with their current partner 2 months ago. Diagnosis
