Problem: In infant respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), the patient's lungs have less surfactant and as such that they need very high pressures in order to inflate their lungs. Compared to infants with normal lungs:
-The compliance is higher due to increased surface tension.
-The compliance is higher due to increased elastic forces.
-The compliance is lower due to increased elastic forces.
-The compliance is lower due to increased surface tension.
