Assignment task: End of Semester Reflections
PROMPT:
We have covered an incredible amount of ground over the last twelve weeks, reading everything from Marxism to ecocriticism. In this final discussion post, I want to offer you the opportunity to reflect on the texts/issues/concepts/questions we have been analyzing together this summer. While there is no perspective focus for this discussion, here are some questions you might consider in your reflection:
1) Which theory/theorist did you find the most compelling and interesting? Why?
2) Which theory/theorist did you find the most troubling/incorrect? Why?
3) How do you now think about the relationship between theory and literature?
4) What theories do you want to read more deeply about after being exposed during this survey class?
