Problem: Individuality vs Community: At one point, Gordy says that "life is a constant struggle between being an individual and being a member of a community" (132). Discuss how Junior's understanding of what it means to be part of a community changes and develops over the course of the book. In what ways did he grow in his understanding and/or succeed in finding a balance between being an individual versus being part of a community?
