Problem related to ethical dilemma

Case Scenario: A "Ethical Dilemma" Patient Jim has come into your clinic for a dental cleaning, he is due for a 6 month prophylaxis. The patient explains that his previous dental office would tell him how great his teeth were and never had to spend much time cleaning them. He points to his back molars and mandibular anterior linguals to show where they spent the majority of the time. Upon completion of your assessments, one would assume that because he had just been to the dentist 6 months ago that he would display some light supragingival calculus deposits. However after exploring his teeth, you've determined that he would require Scaling and Root Planing, as heavy amounts of subgingival calculus were found (also seen radiographically). Confused, the patient asks how could he possibly have so much calculus in such a short period of time? Your clinic has noticed this same situation in a few patients from this particular office. What do you say? 1. What are the issues in the scenario? Are there any major issues that need to be addressed? 2. Discuss any relevant information. 3. What are the consequences? 4. Apply the ethical principal to the options and identify each
