Reply to this post: I do believe that everyone eligible for the flu vaccine should receive one because it does not only protect the individual getting the vaccine but those around them that the virus could spread to. It is important to get the flu vaccine every year especially since the virus creates new variants in the body making the vaccine from the previous years ineffective. It is not possible for someone to get the flu from the flu shot, it's only possible for someone to get the flu shot and still get the flu, but it helps the virus not last as long in the body. The different types of flu vaccines come in all different kinds of forms, some of the types include nasal spray, quadrivalent, cell-based, recombinant, adjuvanted, high dose, and the most common, flu shot.
