Problem related to conflicting research reports

Problem: Conflicting research reports state both that students think online classes are as good or better than in person courses (Wood, 2021) AND that online courses are worth less than in person courses because online is "not as good" (Newton, 2021). The pandemic created the need for many college courses to go online and the haste in which the in-person courses were presented for students online causes quality and acceptance issues. Hi Kaylee...thank you so much for sharing your experience. I myself am a self-motivated learner who gets the full value of the online education. Being a full time wife, mother, and employee, I simply do not have the time to sit in a classroom or wait for all evening classes due to my non-traditional status. The aforementioned roles run primary for me opposed to being a student. Being pulled in differed directions at various times of the day and work week make online classes the best option for me. I understand that Newton (2021) noted that there were lawsuits against institutions of higher learning where students believed that they should not be paying as much as a traditional/ground student, but the convenience of 24 hour learn as you go is invaluable.

Yes, COVID-19 forced almost all institutions of higher learning to turn to online learning; however, we should be at a place for those institutions to know that online learning should be a mainstay at their institutions. Many colleges and universities are competing for the same population of students. We should understand that what is the difference from one BA in English from another should not matter, but the modality of education does matter. While my various roles in life seem to compete with one another, the availability of education at my finger tips is a major plus in my life!
