Assignment task:
Please write in three to five sentences. What's your input on both discussions Ab& B? Please answer should be separately please for A and B. There is a communication channel blocker between Sheldon and Amy. Perhaps it was the topic or a solid appetite for an evening meal. In any conversation, two-way communication is deemed ineffective if the receiver is not actively listening to the deliverer. Amy was able to apply some "fake listening skills" to be polite, and to meet her objective, which was to obtain the butter. As a result, this was undoubtedly wasted time for Sheldon to get his points across and solicit help for a decision. Another meeting is needed, which could prove to be difficult, in obtaining Amy's perspectives on the selection of a gaming system that meets Sheldon's needs. To foster outcomes, the most essential elements of a meeting should include: An agenda shared ahead of time with detailed meeting objectives. An assigned meeting facilitator sets the tone, ground rules, and keep participants on topic. An assigned note taker, who will then distribute meeting highlights within five business days. A review of the meeting objectives to ensure they have been met following the discussion. A summary of the discussion, review of actions, and documented next steps. B- After watching the video, my first reaction was that the video was funny and engaging. Both individuals were not on the same page. Amy was focused on eating and Sheldon was focused on the debate about the gaming systems. She was making it seem like she was engaged in the conversation by giving a response to every comment through sarcasm. Amy was really determined on getting the butter from Sheldon. In meetings, you focus on everything: performance, capability, creativity, mindset, future goals, and etc. In order to foster outcomes, the most essential elements that are needed include: Prepare yourself and have your agenda prepared. Be on time. Set goals and objectives. Give your undivided attention, be engaged, and present a positive and confident tone. Learn from the other individual and take notes. Be open, ask questions and regurgitate the information back. Maintain a purpose for the conversation and stay on track. Discuss the next phase and any future meetings that are needed. Recap and conclude the information and the meeting. The goal is to come with a purpose and to gain all of the information necessary, and build upon it. You have to build trust and a relationship with the other individual so that both parties can benefit and advance within the situation.
