Problem: Harry was finally graduating from the two-year business program at Central College. His parents were truly proud of him regardless of the fact that it had taken him three years to graduate. They had promised him a party like no other. A two-room suite adjacent to the pool was booked at the Talisman Hotel. The hotel could not promise that the pool would be open on the date of the party, but they promised to do their best. The hotel would also cater the party. The big day came and the weather was glorious. The party started around 2 p.m. and everything was a blast. Around 10 p.m. that evening, Gloria called for him to join her in the pool. The evening air was cool and Gloria was crouched below the water level to keep her shoulders out of the cool night air. Harry ran to the pool and jumped in next to Gloria. Gloria was in fact in the shallow end and Harry was rendered quadriplegic. It was noted that the hotel had failed to paint the depth markers on the side of the pool. Harry mentioned that he did not see them nor did he look for them.
