Problem: Sara, a 72 yo female patient comes into your office for a blood pressure check. Her blood pressure today is 122/78 and has been in this range for the last several checks. She achieves this by using amlodipine 10mg daily, candesartan/HCT 32/25mg daily and metoprolol 50mg BID. Today you checked her labs, which have historically been WNL. You find the following: BMP: creatinine 0.9, BUN 20, Glucose 98, NA+ 137, K+ 5.8. CBC & BMP were WNL one month ago. She feels well with no specific complaints.
