Assignment task: Hi Desmond, In the US, many of our state level political organizations, like the governments have both pros and cons. For a pro, I believe that these organizations can better understand and address the specific concerns of people living in their state. Things such as education or healthcare can be addressed individually. It also gives some independence to states since something's may work better in one state and not so well in the other. A con could be that big companies and wealthier people often have more power and influence in state politics because they can spend lots of money on campaigns. This can lead to decisions that favor the rich and powerful over regular people. In this case things like climate change or healthcare wouldn't matter to a big company or wealthy person. So, while state-level political organizations have benefits, they also have problems that need to be addressed.
