A 5 year-old child is brought to the emergency department by her concerned parents, who fear that the child has ingested a large amount of cherry flavor cough syrup. The empty bottle of cough medicine was found in the playroom and several teacups contained a sticky red residue. The parents said the child was agitated, and behaving in a bizarre manner.
