Problem regarding mass digitization of media

Problem: Write a comment on this

The mass digitization of media has undoubtedly provided more people than ever access to information. However, the attention individuals can give any given piece of media is finite. This results in writers and companies using increasingly worrisome techniques to maintain relevance in this attention economy. The video on negativity bias in media made note that companies in the U.S. skew towards that negativity and it gets worse year after year, likely for the sake of ratings. This isn't exclusive to just traditional news broadcasts as it feels that anywhere you look media is designed to coax a strong emotional response from readers or viewers. To me it feels like the messages present in today's media are more geared towards what will drive profit and not so much the truth. The digitization of media also does more to make traditional print obsolete than help sustain it. While there will always be individuals that will prefer their traditional print, digital media's convenience in its access will naturally draw more attention towards it.
