Elder Ecosystem Interview: The health and well-being of elders are multifaceted, built upon policy, economic stability, social and community contexts, and more. It is also a phase of life that is often characterized by needing a range of specialized assistance that is sometimes rendered by loved ones and other times by institutions. For this assignment, you are asked to identify and seek permission to interview a person who provides formal or informal eldercare. Prepare a minimum of ten questions related to the following themes: How do they help to provide their nutritional needs? How do they promote physical activity? Do they help to manage any chronic diseases? What are their cultural orientations to elder care? Who is responsible? How are elders viewed? Social life How does minority status (gender, sexual orientation, culture, etc.) play into the experience of the caretaker or the recipient of care? What are their responsibilities as a caretaker? What are some challenges of their experiences? What are some rewarding aspects of their role? What is your wish for the elderly in current times?
