Problem regarding administration for children and families

Assignment task: I need help response to my peers?

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) was developed in 1991 to help families through child support, childcare, head start, child welfare, providing tribal support, and additional programs. The ACF has a mission to promote health and well-being by offering federal resources, leadership, and collaboration for the efficient and humane provision of services (ACF, n.d.). The ACF creates partnerships with front-line service providers, through contracts and grants, to identify and implement solutions for factors such as fair wages, strengthening resources and behavioral health programs, implementing mental health support services into community resources, and by addressing hunger, nutrition, and health. The consequences of this program surround the program being relatively new. Current statistics show that the ACF allocates it funds to the following services: 24% TANF, 17% Head Start, 16% Foster Care, 17% Child Care, 6% Child Support, 6% LIHEAP, 3% Other, 9% Refugee/Entrant Assistance, 2% SSBG, 1% Promoting Safe & Stable Families (ACF, n.d.). Although it is government funded, the program was only approved for contracts in 2020. Due to this, there is not sufficient data to support the program's effectiveness and whether or not the distribution of funds are properly distributed. According to Jansson (2020), data is essential to establishing the scope, magnitude, and urgency of the problem. This problem can be resolved or improved by the ACT conducting more research surrounding the needs of services.
