Problem: The primary care providing organisation cannot always meet all the needs of the person who requires support. This could be due to a lack of suitable, qualified staff and expertise, or to not having the necessary resources. In consultation with a supervisor a worker might make referrals, for the person receiving support, to other service providers. The organisation will have policies and procedures that need to be followed. List twelve types of specialists/ service providers to whom clients might be referred.
