My name is Arrentheny Magee, I go by Ren for short. I'm a Guardian stationed at the Pentagon as a Space Force Liaison to Congress. Most of my interaction is with the House/Senate Armed Services and Intelligence Committees. My job consist of educating congress on all matters relating to space and intelligence. Previously, I was assigned to the National Reconnaissance Office as the Superintendent of Operations and Special Programs. The NRO operates some of the nation's most exquisite space systems.
I'm originally from Gulfport MS, but I grew up in New Orleans. I have an 11 year old son. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, football, swimming, and reading. After I retire, our plan is to move closer to the south where all the best athletes are from. (SEC)
My degree is in Space Studies with a concentration in Aerospace Science. I believe this course will expand and provide a deeper dive into some of my initial launch training I received upon entering the space career field. Unfortunately, Guardians usually don't received in-depth training on launch and re-entry systems unless they are assigned to that mission area.
I plan to continue work in the DoD Space/Intelligence mission area when I retire. Space has become our most contested warfighting domain. Most people don't realize how dependent we are on space. Military and civilian space systems are under constant threat and unprofessional behavior from our adversaries. My goal is to continued to contribute my expertise to this effort.
