Problem on constitutional rights and socialization

Problem:

Welcome to the follow up on last week's history, constitutional rights and socialization. This week, I want you to spend some time watching the movie listed in the modules and well as tuning in to Alice Goffman and Nick Turner. The focus this week is on your own socialization with and of the criminal justice system. When we talk about socialization, we are thinking more so of the development of values and attitudes about the law and legal institutions, as well as the process of judicial socialization. As you watch the movie, 12 Angry Men, think about your socialization of the institution involved (what did you think), versus what you see in the movie. Additionally, as you listen to Turner and Goffman do the same, think about how your socialization differ from what these scholars show through statistical evidence. Then, the question I want you to answer this week is: How does your knowledge of the courts differ from what you see in the movie. Be specific in your response, focus on some of the demographic and physical features of the deliberation room.
