Option 1: I found out that 13.7% of the population in my area (Hillsborough County) lives below poverty level. They are the most vulnerable population because these people are most likely to have poor housing conditions and have greater health risks. Also, they are most likely to have barriers obtaining health care which can lead to frequent hospitalizations. However, there are various resources available. Hillsborough County Health Department Immunization program offers immunizations for children and adults. Dental services are also available. Various services are also available for HIV-infected individuals, including clinical, oral health, case management, lab services. Mental health, women's health, Hepatitis C treatment, and dermatology services were recently added. Nutrition programs are available for Women, infants, and children. It provides the following at no cost: healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals for health care.
