Assignment task:
Seatbelt safety is very important to anyone that is driving a car and passengers in the car. The national average of drivers and front seat passengers that wear their seat belt is 86%, compared to the state of Connecticut which is 87%.In order to promote seatbelt safety, it is important to assess the knowledge among people regarding the importance of seatbelts of all passengers within vehicles. The best way to get people to understand the importance is to educate them in the dangers of not using their seatbelt. The first step to creating awareness needs to come through audio visual aids. The importance of infant, toddler and child seatbelts needs to be explained to parents to ensure their safety and this will teach children at a young age to buckle up. Drivers and passengers need to see the statistical data of bodily harm or death caused because of not fastening their seat belt. All fifty states should have the same laws regarding seatbelts so there is no confusion with drivers when driving between states. There should be a tough penalty to drivers and passengers for not fastening their seatbelts. If the passengers are not wearing their seatbelt a fine should go to both individuals. It would also be helpful to have police presence and seatbelts stops in areas where there is an increase in bodily harm and death from not wearing seatbelts. Creating tough fines and educating at an early age should help to promote the safety of seatbelts for all passengers. Want Online Help?
