Assignment Task:
Once the patient has been seen by the provider, all testing has been completed, if necessary, and the visit is complete, the check out process begins. This is often referred to as "check-out." The patient has to be located in the system again so that the co-pay can be paid at this time, if not paid so at the time of check-in/registration. The Superbill may be printed for the patient to take take with him/her. It's also at this time that a follow-up appointment is made, if needed. In an automated system, as CPT codes are posted corresponding to the services rendered, the associated charges are also posted to the patient's account. Place the following steps in the patient check-out process into the proper order. Access the patient list. 2 View Superbill summary. 3 Stop patient tracking. Navigate to scheduling: Appointment request or recall. 5 Post patient charges. 6 Make patient's return appointment. Need Online Help?
