From the RESOURCES BELOW and your own research, you will note that both of these agencies are devoted to preserving and protecting the domestic USA, even if doing so requires an active presence abroad. Yet not surprisingly, the rapidly shifting ground of US domestic security assessments and projected needs requires ongoing efforts to change and adapt, organizationally and institutionally. With this in mind, answer the following prompts in any manner you choose, integrated or separately:
1. From the Learn material and other sources, how do these two institutions differ in purpose and function?
2. What are some of the strengths or weaknesses of each separately? Considering their common mission to protect the US, do they seem in mission harmony with a clear division of labor, or do they appear organizationally redundant at times?
