Did a home visit with Ms. Janelle. Introduced what valetine is and does valetine mean to the children. What you noticed? During the homme visit, parent was very open about Prince his fine motor skills. She was abe to say she hasn't beem working at home and asked if we could provide materials to send home with him to work on his fine motor skills. At circle time, the children were asked what Valentine's is? Khaloni shouted it means hearts and hearts mean love. I asked what does love mean? She says love is showing nice things and not being mean. What will you do next? (provocations, experiences--vs activities) Provide materials for Prince to practice his fine motor skills at home, such as coloring books or puzzles. Organize a Valentine's Day-themed activity where children create heart-shaped crafts or cards for their friends, promoting the idea of showing love through kind actions. Facilitate discussions or story times about friendship and love, using age-appropriate books or stories. This can help children understand these concepts on a deeper level and apply them in their interactions with others. Implementation of positive/growthful interactions could encourage them to share their creations with each other and discuss why they chose certain symbols or representations. This will not only foster a sense of sharing and cooperation but also help them understand each other's perspectives on friendship.
