He has worked as a dishwasher for a small Italian restaurant for the past nine months in which he has been dependable and shows up for every shift he is assigned. He will cover other shifts when co-workers ask him or when he is called in to work a shift because someone called out. However, when others ask him about his job, he tells them that he has been working as a cashier and is being considered for an assistant manager position because he is embarrassed about his actual position. Josiah carries the diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder and has been exhibiting symptoms of mania. Josiah reports that he has not been taking his medication and is not convinced that his diagnosis is accurate. After graduating high school, he reported experiencing symptoms shortly after enrolling in his freshman year.
