Problem: Emergency Department Physician Note: Patient was washing dishes at home and dropped a glass and cut her finger. Examination of the right index finger revealed 4 cm circular, flapped laceration over the right proximal phalanx. There was no tendon injury. Patient was advised about possibility of devitalization of flap and possible requirement for plastic graft. Wound approximated with 4-0 silk stitches
