Question: Bernie just finished her first semester of a Master's program in psychology. She was looking forward to a few weeks without chapters and articles to read or papers and projects to complete. She also looked forward to getting some quality sleep and no longer needing to live on strong coffee, soda and energy drinks to get her through the day. For the first several days off, however, she felt awful. Her head felt like it would explode, she was tired and nauseous and she couldn't concentrate on anything, despite getting an adequate amount of sleep. She thought maybe she had the flu, but what was Bernie likely experiencing?
