Prepare a slideshow on Computer rendering of stochastic models
Requirements
• Cover slide - project title, date
• Presentation outline - roughly broken down as follows
- context & motivation - why it's important/interesting, how it fits into the larger discussion of the field
- prerequisite knowledge - as applicable, e.g. any mathematics needed to understand the discussion
- overview of technique - for technical topics
- details of technique - for technical topics
- concrete examples
- future questions or areas for research
- anything else that you think is relevant
• Context & motivation
- Historical background, including persons involved and prior related work
- Reasons why this technique was developed
• Prerequisite Knowledge
- brief summary of specific notation, mathematical concepts, terminology, or other information important to understanding the discussion that follows
• Overview of technique
- high level description of algorithm or method
- include diagram/flowchart if appropriate
• Details of technique
- elaborate on each step in the algorithm or process (ideally one step per slide)
- include graphics or diagrams if appropriate
• Concerete Examples
- include examples of the software, final results of the method, etc. as appropriate
• Future Questions/Developments
- if a historical topic, then a brief summary of what recent work has been done to refine or extend the method(s) since
- if a current/recent topic, then a brief summary of open questions or areas for future study
• Sources
- academic papers (at least 1)
- websites
- other sources (at your discretion, e.g. program source code)
