Practice
Practice can be developed when the community keeps continuous interactions with the domain. The members of the community of practices are the practitioners. They will have a shared stock of the resources which includes the experiences, the stories, the tools and also the ways of addressing the recurring problems. Thus, a community can become proactive by taking charge of the development of the practice. The questions, which will help the community to intentionally become an effective knowledge resource to the members and also to other constituencies which might benefit from the expertise, are as follows:
- What knowledge has to be shared, developed in the document?
- What kind of learning activities to organise?
- How the knowledge repository should be organised to reflect the practice of the members?
- When should the processes be standarised and when are the differences appropriate?
- What kind of development project should the community undertake?
