Part Two: Statistical Update
Review the numbers related to the outbreaks.
Using six to eight lines, summarize things like the number of deaths, geographic locations affected, ages affected, gender percentages, presumed vs confirmed cases, etc. You pick what you feel is important to share!
Part Three: Personal, Family, And Community Impact
Share anything that you want to share about how the Covid or flu virus has affected you, your family, and your community.
You are also encouraged to discuss what are the most challenging things you are dealing with on a personal level.
Finally, state what you are doing, or what you feel you can do, to address or deal with anything listed above.

Module:
This assignment requires the students to utilize news sources, electronic or hard, to 'discover' current events related to community health.
However, as part of the assignment, you will choose what sources you want to use!
Any source is applicable as long as it considered 'newsworthy'.
Students: Please plan on spending about one hour per term locating, reading, and choosing what current events to use for each of the three geographic levels, and then additional time correctly citing your source in APA style.
Again, part of the assignment requires you to locate credible sources for your definitions.

Materials for this module require 'newsworthy' sources, and can include:
Newspapers, news magazines, on line news, television broadcasts, radio broadcasts, on line news sources, etc. all qualify as long as they are considered 'newsworthy'.
Learning Activities and Assignment:
Using 'newsworthy' sources only, identify three current events related to community health at the local level.
