Multiple regression equation
Use SPSS. Use the salary.sav data file to answer the following questions:
Predict the natural log of beginning salary from gender, educational level, work experience, and minority status variables sex, edlevel, work, and minority).
Save the leverages, Studentized residuals, standardized changes in the regression coefficients, and Cook's distance. Obtain all of the partial regression plots. Show your plots in the answers.
a. plan the leverages against the ID variable. Are there any points that stand out from the rest?
b. Are there any unusual Cook's distances?
c. Look at each partial regression plot. Edit them to include the regression line and R2. For the work experience variable, use the Partial Correlations procedure to show the relationship between R2 for the partial regression plot and the partial regression coefficient.
d. Does partial regression plot for education level look linear? What does it suggest?
