Question: Perry et al. (1999) wanted to test the folklore that women who have not been given information about the sex of their unborn child can guess it at better than chance levels. They asked a sample of 104 pregnant women to guess the sex of their babies, and 57 guessed correctly. Assuming chance guessing would result in 50% correct guesses, test the hypothesis that women can guess at a better than chance level. Carry out the test using a = .05, and make sure to state a conclusion.
