Patient was placed in the supine position

Question: The patient was placed in the supine position on the operating table. General anesthesia was given by Dr. Tinst. The patient was then placed in the lithotomy position. The vagina, perineum, and abdomen were prepped and draped in the usual fashion. An examination under anesthesia was carried out, which revealed a uterus of ten to eleven weeks' size. The adnexae were negative for masses. The cervix was closed. A weighted speculum was placed. The cervix was visualized and the anterior lip of the cervix was grasped with a single-tooth tenaculum.
